Electricity prices to fall

Posted by Niamh on March 3, 2009 under All posts, Latest News | Be the First to Comment

It is good news that the cost of electricity is set to fall by up to ten percent, this anouncement was made today by Minister Eamon Ryan who in the current Minister for Energy.

Electricity prices will be reduced by an average of 10 per cent for all customers in April and May.  The reduction in prices will apply to all customers serviced by ESB, Bord Gáis and the independent suppliers.

Mr Ryan said the reductions would put more money into people’s pockets ‘at a time when they most need it.’

It could be aruged that the price reduction could be more – but “Every little helps”.
